Leigh - Up until my late 20's I had always travelled and worked in jobs which I classed as getting paid to have fun. At 19 I worked in Italy as an Au Pair. I then worked two seasons as an Entertainments Rep. for Haven Holidays running the ATR Club with 12-17 year olds. The following years I worked as a Holiday Rep. summers in Greece and winters in Italian Ski Resorts. I eventually started a career as a Cinema Manager which led to me moving into a Training role where I got an appetite for people development. For 10 years I then worked as a Learning & Development Consultant.
I married my wonderful husband in May 2008 and gave birth to our beautiful daughter Molly in July 2009 and son Noah in August 2012 . Whilst pregnant with Molly, I saw an advert for Baby Sensory, it talked about Baby Signing, Baby Massage, Bonding, Optic Light & puppet Shows, but all designed around research to encourage baby brain development. I was intrigued and this sounded exactly what I wanted to attend. As soon as our first class was underway we were hooked. I came away as stimulated as Molly and always left smiling from ear to ear and armed with a bunch of ideas to continue this development at home. Baby Sensory soon became the highlight of my parenting week.
So before Molly came along, my profession was as a Learning & Development Consultant, designing and delivering programmes driving development, communication and motivation within Management. Since Molly, my priorities changed; and I was inspired by the classes I attended lead by Dr Lin Day the founder of the company and grasped the opportunity of starting my own Baby Sensory classes. Although a completely different clientele from my previous role, this programme draws on current research and the work of theorists and childcare experts, driving development, communication and motivation, which I am so passionate about. Baby Sensory has all the elements of all the work I have ever loved, in a fun, friendly, worthwhile and rewarding environment.
Since starting my classes in August 2010, Bryony (Reading), Helen (High Wycombe) & Beccy (Wantage) who were all mummies that attended my classes with thier babies, have also been inspired to get involved in Baby Sensory and now run their own Baby Sensory classes in thier areas.
I am thrilled and excited to have bought the delights of Baby Sensory to the wonderful babies of the Reading & Oxford area!
